Lake Valley head
coach: Kaunda

Lake Valley have just hired former Civo United coach Oscar Kaunda, who already started his job as head coach replacing Abbas Makawa who is now technical director.

Nkhoma said: “We are really serious in our quest to earn promotion to the Super League. We have vast talent here at Lake Valley, but what we are missing is qualified personnel to coach these players. Some people might think we are over ambitious by hiring coaches that are qualified to coach Super League teams. But it’s not about money. It is about a vision that we have which these coaches also share.”

Kaunda joined Masters Security in January after dumping relegated Karonga United, following head coach Benjamin Kumwenda’s recommendation.
The former Civo United coach, who holds a CAF (Confederation of Africa Football) C licence, said he was looking forward to working with Makawa, a CAF A licence holder.

Master Security general secretary Zacharia Nyirenda said Kaunda’s decision to leave the club will not affect them since their technicalpanelis intact.
